Dr. Steven Hotze and lawyer Jared Woodfill discussed the Stand With Paxton campaign established in defense of Texas Attorney General (AG) Ken Paxton.
During the July 10 episode of “The Dr. Hotze Report” on Brighteon.TV, Hotze said the Stand With Paxton political action committee (PAC) seeks to assist the beleaguered AG in his upcoming impeachment trial in September. His guest Woodfill, former chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, has been working closely with Paxton.
Former President Donald Trump called Paxton “the most powerful and successful conservative AG in the United States.” Even the Office of the Texas AG itself recognized his efforts that led him to three successive terms – 2014, 2018 and 2022.
“He sued Big Pharma. He sued the social media companies. He sued the Biden administration over all the illegal immigration that’s going on,” said Hotze. “He has written a report calling ‘transition surgery’ and sex change drugs for children as being child abuse. He has been opposed to and stopping the drag queens from coming into the public schools to recruit children.”
Moreover, the Texas AG has been fighting for election integrity – even filing a major lawsuit with the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the vote fraud in America. He has also crossed swords with both Republicans in name only (RINOs) and Democrats who were stealing elections.
Woodfill then recounted the May 24 legislative session of the Texas Legislature, where the articles of impeachment against Paxton were filed. Texans and Americans all across the country were shocked to see a group of RINOs collude to impeach an effective AG, he said. The constitutional lawyer remarked that Paxton, who was overwhelmingly re-elected to his third term by 4.5 million voters in November 2022, had no knowledge of the report from the Texas House of Representatives recommending his impeachment. Woodfill warned that if this impeachment can happen to Paxton, it can also happen to every elected official.
Hotze, meanwhile, recounted that the RINOs in the Texas House of Representatives – led by Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan and State Rep. Charlie Geren – worked with their Democratic counterparts to form an investigative committee. This committee was formed to impeach and destroy Paxton.
The host of “The Dr. Hotze Report” noted that the Republican state representatives – especially the so-called conservatives who should be voting to not impeach Paxton – had received campaign funds from Phelan when they ran. This essentially meant that the RINOs who voted in favor of removing Paxton were bought and paid for by the State House speaker.
According to Woodfill, the RINOs who worked with the Democrats against the Texas AG did not trust the voters who elected Paxton. Because of this, the conservative grassroots base across the Lone Star State outraged by the impeachment are now gathering under the Stand with Paxton PAC.
Ultimately, Hotze stressed that Texans must help Paxton so he can continue fighting for their conservative values.
