Keeping true to his COVID-era promise to replace the next vacant U.S. Senate seat in California with a black woman, regardless of her qualifications – or lack thereof – Gov. Gavin Newsom is commemorating the recent death of Sen. Dianne Feinstein with Laphonza Butler, a black lesbian who worked as senior adviser to Kamala Harris’s failed 2020 presidential campaign.
Butler is the first black lesbian to ever openly serve in Congress – because why not? Modern America seems to worship at the altar of LGBT. She is also not a resident of California, but rather lives in Maryland – because again, why not? American politics in 2023 is a clown circus, after all.
Another “qualification” that drew Newsom to appoint Butler as one of the two U.S. senators representing California is the fact that she is president of the pro-abortion organization EMILY’s List.
Butler will finish out the remaining term that Feinstein would have served, which lasts until 2024. After that, should she choose to formally run, Butler could challenge pervert and “pencil neck” Rep. Adam Schiff, who himself was hoping Feinstein would live at least until the next election so he could rise to the Senate.
“As we mourn the enormous loss of Senator Feinstein, the very freedoms she fought for – reproductive freedom, equal protection, and safety from gun violence – have never been under greater assault,” Newsom said following Butler’s appointment.
“Laphonza will carry the baton left by Senator Feinstein, continue to break glass ceilings, and fight for all Californians in Washington D.C.”
(Related: Newsom is also pushing to abolish the Second Amendment by passing a new 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.)
Butler’s political career began in Magnolia, Miss., where she worked as a union organizer. In 2009, she moved to California to serve as president of the SEIU United Long Term Care Workers union, helping to raise the minimum wage in California and hike taxes on the richest Californians.
In other words, Butler did live in California at one point, but moved to Maryland in 2001, which also just so happens to be the birthplace of Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
After advising “Hyena” Harris on her dismal failure of a 2020 presidential campaign, Butler moved on to becoming the director of public policy and campaigns in North America at Airbnb.
While still working for Harris, Butler was hired by Uber during an organized labor dispute. It just so happens that Harris’ brother-in-law, Tony West, was Uber’s chief legal officer at the time – how convenient!
It cannot be stressed enough that Butler does not currently live in California, though. It is unclear whether or not she plans to move back there, but chances are that she will remain on the East Coast in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution, which requires that senators reside in the state they supposedly represent while in office.
“FFPC and FEC filings indicate that soon-to-be California Senator Laphonza Butler hasn’t been a resident of the state for over two years,” one person Xed (formerly tweeted) following Newsom’s announcement.
“Laphonza Butler tried to undercut Uber drivers’ organizing efforts in order to engineer a backroom sweetheart deal for SEIU to represent them,” noted another. “She’s a standard issue soulless party operative, and thus an appropriate choice for Newsom.”
“Are Californians so awful that you couldn’t even find one of them to Rep their own state?” asked someone named “The Redheaded libertarian.”
“Had to outsource to the president of a PAC 3000 miles away? Something tells me the people of CA will not be her priority, just like Dianne Feinstein.”
American politics can no longer be taken seriously with these kinds of people occupying office. Learn more at Chaos.news.
